Miki Hosokawa, who had recently become fascinated by psychic powers, becomes engrossed in magazines and videos on the topic, letting her imagination run wild. So obsessed she barely sleeps, she begins to indulge in fantasies to an alarming degree. One day, thinking she’s flying through the sky in a dream, Miki lets her delusions take over and does whatever she pleases.

However, something seems off with everyone around her. Her classmates begin to look at her with expressions of fear, as if they’re seeing something sinister—something terrifying—emerging from Miki herself.

About Hell Teacher Nube

In the upcoming series, Nube springs into action across time and space to rescue his 5th grade class—students like Hiroshi and Kyoko—who have been trapped inside the world of ghost stories. This concept echoes the August 2024 one-shot titled Hell Teacher Nube: Hyaku Monogatari Kenbunroku, which depicted Nube and his allies entering a world of ghostly legends to save Hiroshi from being abducted by yokai.

Originally serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump from 1993 to 1999, Hell Teacher Nube follows the adventures of Meisuke Nueno—nicknamed Nube—an exorcist and schoolteacher gifted with the “Oni Hand,” a powerful demon arm. He protects his students from supernatural threats like yokai, ghosts, and curses in this school-based action-horror series.

Famous for its blend of urban legends, school ghost stories, and heartfelt drama, the franchise has sold over 29 million copies in total. The series later continued with Hell Teacher Nube NEO (2014–2019) and Hell Teacher Nube S (2018–2021). It also inspired a TV anime that aired from 1996 to 1997 and a 2014 live-action drama starring Ryuhei Maruyama of SUPER EIGHT.

In addition, a brand-new anime series is set to begin in July 2025. This will be the first animated installment in 26 years since the 1999 OVA Hell Teacher Nube: The Greatest Battle Ever!! The Arrival of Zekki!!. The upcoming anime will feature an updated storyline set in the present day. Ryotaro Okiayu will reprise his role as Meisuke Nueno (Nube), with Studio KAI producing the animation.
