"Rilakkuma" – New theme visual and merchandise revealed: "Pancake Routine," illustrated by anime studio Production I.G.

San-X announced on the 4th that, to commemorate the decision to animate Rilakkuma, they are unveiling information about a new theme titled “stay with me,” illustrated by Production I.G, the studio producing the anime.

Merchandise from the new theme will be available in advance starting on the 27th at the limited-time shop Rilakkuma Store in GINZA Rilakkuma Thinking of You, held at Matsuya Ginza in Tokyo. Following that, sales will gradually roll out at retailers and online shops nationwide from early October.

The new Rilakkuma anime is being produced by Production I.G, known for many hit titles such as Haikyu!! and Kaiju No. 8. The newly illustrated series, "Pancake Routine," portrays Rilakkuma’s heartfelt love for pancakes. With the concept of “What if Rilakkuma were by your side?”, the heartwarming illustrations depict Rilakkuma welcoming you with freshly made pancakes, enjoying a relaxing nap together after a meal, or waking up to the comforting scent of another serving—only to doze off again. The artwork gently captures peaceful, everyday moments shared with Rilakkuma and friends.

The merchandise lineup includes a variety of stationery and fabric items featuring adorable designs—such as Rilakkuma and friends welcoming you at the door, relaxing and napping on a lazy afternoon, and scenes from Rilakkuma’s morning routine.

Additionally, just before the limited-time shop opens at Matsuya Ginza, new information about the anime is scheduled to be announced on August 25.
