The story follows Hiyori, an ordinary office worker living in a peaceful town, who ends up breaking her arm after getting caught in an unexpected accident. Kumano, a police officer who happens to be at the scene, feels responsible and decides to move in with her to help out. Hiyori feels safe with the dependable officer—until the usually serious and capable policeman suddenly loses control in a wild outburst?
The original manga is currently serialized under Ichijinsha’s digital label “LOVEBITES,” but following the anime’s cancellation, the author, Sigma Torai, announced via their official X account that the series will be restarting under a new label. The serialization under Ichijinsha’s “LOVEBITES” concludes with Chapter 50, and from Chapter 51 onward, the story will continue under the new title Sequel: That Policeman is Sometimes a Beast! via Oakla Publishing’s “Minty” platform, starting on the 22nd.
Torai commented: “I sincerely apologize for the confusion caused by these changes. I will continue to craft the story with care, and I’d be grateful for your continued support. Thank you very much, as always!”
