Six Evangelion Theatrical Films to Be Re-released. “Monthly Eva” Special Screenings From October Through Next February, Trailer Released

It has been announced that six theatrical films from the Evangelion anime series will be screened again between October 10, 2025, and February 19, 2026. A preview trailer has been released, and under the title Monthly Eva EVANGELION 30th MOVIE Fest. 2025–2026 (“Monthly Eva”), one film (two in October) will be shown each month for a limited one-week run in theaters nationwide.

This project commemorates the 30th anniversary of Neon Genesis Evangelion, which first aired in 1995. The screening schedule is as follows: October will feature Neon Genesis Evangelion: Death & Rebirth and The End of Evangelion; November will feature Evangelion: 1.0 You Are (Not) Alone; December will feature Evangelion: 2.0 You Can (Not) Advance; January will feature Evangelion: 3.0 You Can (Not) Redo; and February will conclude with Evangelion: 3.0+1.0 Thrice Upon a Time. Special posters incorporating the original visuals from each film’s release era, along with new trailers using footage from the films, have been produced for this event and will be displayed and screened in theaters (excluding select locations) starting September 5.

For the screening of Evangelion: 3.0 You Can (Not) Redo, the two shorts EVANGELION: 3.0 (-120min.) and EVANGELION: 3.0 (-46h), which were produced as bonus features for the Evangelion: 3.0+1.0 Blu-ray, will be shown alongside it. Notably, EVANGELION: 3.0 (-120min.) will make its theatrical debut outside of event screenings.

In addition, limited-edition entry gifts will be distributed: smartphone-sized stickers featuring poster visuals of each film. Designed to match the posters from their original release periods, these stickers will be handed out one per viewer per screening, corresponding to the film being shown.
