MARiA’s X Post ENGLISH Translation
I’m sure this sudden announcement has surprised and worried many of you. I don’t want to leave my fans and everyone involved in confusion, so I would like to explain what has been happening and how it came to this.
First of all, over the past few years, it came to light through a third party that I had not been properly compensated by my agency for my activities. In some cases, I believe I wasn’t paid at all.
I had sensed something was wrong. Of course, I wanted to believe in them, but it wasn’t an environment where I could voice my concerns. I was also afraid, so I couldn’t even try to confirm it.
These past few years have been dizzyingly hectic—so much so that my consciousness would sometimes blur—and I would find myself crying uncontrollably after returning to my hotel. I think I was in an environment that was breaking me down. Even so, I stopped myself from thinking, numbed my heart, and kept standing on stage after stage, performance after performance, shoot after shoot. When I was on stage, my fans gave me courage and strength. Thank you so much for that.
During this time, the president would accuse me, saying my attitude was strange, or asking, “What do you think you’re doing?” At that point, I had already reached my physical and mental limits. That’s why last year I asked to reduce my schedule, and at one point even asked to leave by the end of the year.
Pushed to the brink in this situation, I finally reached my limit and, this August, I personally sent a notice of termination to the agency through a lawyer.
As for why I didn’t do this together with my member, the truth is I couldn’t trust anyone around me anymore. I was afraid it would get back to the president, so I couldn’t even bring myself to consult with anyone.
Looking back, I think things had already been falling apart for quite some time.
Regarding GARNiDELiA, I had wanted to talk things through with toku away from the agency’s oversight and discuss our future together. But that didn’t happen, and while I was searching for my own way forward, this sudden announcement came. It was a shock, and it made me very sad.
I truly thought the two of us would be able to take a new step forward together. But of course, toku also has his own thoughts and feelings.
Please understand—I did not take action to fight with my fellow member. So I would deeply appreciate it if you could refrain from using harsh or attacking words toward him.
