Chained Soldier Season 2 Premieres in January 2026 with Demon Defense Force Leaders Assembled

The TV anime Chained Soldier will return with Season 2 in January 2026. Alongside the announcement, the first promotional video was released, featuring all the Corps Leaders of the Demon Defense Force.

Season 2 begins with the “Leaders’ Meeting” arc, depicted in Volume 6 of the manga, where every Corps Leader assembles. The newly released PV introduces Konomi Tatara (First Unit Leader), Mira Kamiunten (Second Unit Leader), Bell Tsukiyono (Third Unit Leader), Yakumo Ezo (Fifth Unit Leader), Tenka Izumo (Sixth Unit Leader), Kyoka Uzen (Seventh Unit Leader), Varvara Pilipenko (Eighth Unit Leader), Fubuki Azuma (Ninth Unit Leader), and Ren Yamashiro, the Supreme Commander and Tenth Unit Leader. The video also highlights the activities of Yuki Wakura and other Seventh Unit members, as well as soldiers from the Sixth Unit.

In addition to the returning cast from Season 1, the PV reveals new lines from Ren Yamashiro, making her debut in Season 2, and also features Mira Kamiunten’s voice for the first time. Cast details for new characters will be announced at a later date.

Additionally, today is Kyoka Uzen's birthday. She is the leader of the Seventh Unit. To celebrate, the official X account has released a special birthday illustration drawn by character designer Keiya Nakano.

Chained Soldier is based on a manga written by Takahiro and illustrated by Yohei Takemura. The story follows the heroines of the Demon Defense Force as they fight threats from a mysterious alternate dimension called Mato. The manga is serialized biweekly on Shonen Jump+. Volume 19, released today, depicts the aftermath of the Supreme Commander election and the buildup to the battle against the Eight Thunder Gods.
