The new Doraemon movie, Doraemon: Nobita and the New Castle of the Undersea Devil will be the 45th film in the series. It is set to be released in 2026. The teaser visual features the tagline, "10,000 meters beneath the sea. There is still a world on Earth that no one knows," with Doraemon and his friends standing on the surface of the clear water. The reflection shows a mysterious boy and the outline of the huge Castle of the Undersea Devil, hinting at an exciting new underwater adventure.

The special trailer reveals glimpses of the mysterious deep sea. A ship that has sunk is on the ocean floor. An enormous creature that nobody knows about appears in front of Doraemon and his friends. Then, a wonderful, imaginary undersea city comes to life. The climax shows an unknown creature blocking their path, which makes viewers excited for the challenges they will face at the closest point to the Earth's core.

The film will be directed by Tetsuo Yajima, who has been involved in numerous works including the TV anime Doraemon, Doraemon: Nobita’s New Great Adventure into the Underworld (2007), Doraemon: Nobita and the New Steel Troops – Winged Angels (2011), and Doraemon: Nobita’s Earth Symphony (2024). This marks his first time directing a film in the series.

Yajima commented, "10,928 meters. The deepest point ever reached by humans. Let's explore more with Doraemon and friends! There must be creatures and landscapes that no one has ever seen. Doesn't that thought alone excite you? The choices and decisions they face may be difficult, but they can lead to surprising solutions. I can't wait for the day we can all experience this deep-sea world together on the big screen."

The screenplay was written by Isao Murayama, who has created many episodes for the Doraemon TV anime. This will be his first time working on the film series.
