Wandance Main PV Released: Opening Theme by BE:FIRST, Ending Theme by ELSEE Announced [With Comments]

The second promotional video for the TV anime Wandance, airing from October 8, has been released, revealing BE:FIRST for the opening theme and ELSEE for the ending theme.

A Story of Youth Expressed Through Dance

The anime follows Kaboku Kotani (voiced by Kouki Uchiyama), a high school student with a stutter who struggles to express himself, as he is drawn into the world of dance through his classmate Hikari Wanda (voiced by Hina Youmiya), who expresses herself freely without worrying about others’ gazes.

Characters Who Bring Dance to Life

The new PV shows Kaboku discovering the joy of dance and blossoming with his talent, guided by Wanda’s movements. It also introduces unique characters for the first time, including dance club ace and captain On Miyao (voiced by Ayaka Suwa), the skilled yet absentee member Iori Itsukushima (voiced by Toshiki Masuda), and rival B-BOY Gaku Kabeya (voiced by Yuma Uchida). The energetic dance sequences unique to dance animation raise expectations further.

BE:FIRST Powers the Opening with “Stare In Wonder”

The opening theme is “Stare In Wonder,” a new song by BE:FIRST, the 7-member dance and vocal group that has mobilized about 300,000 fans in a 4-dome tour. Member SOTA commented, “As a group that respects dance culture, we’re honored to provide the theme song for a story so deeply and delicately focused on dance.”

ELSEE Delivers the Ending with “Wondrous”

The ending theme will be “Wondrous,” the debut single by the rising dance & vocal group ELSEE. Member AKARI shared, “We’ve engaged with dance performance since our student days, so we deeply resonate with the world and emotions of Wandance. It’s an honor to collaborate on such a special project.”

Music That Enriches the World of Wandance

The PV also unveiled one of over 30 in-story dance tracks: “Kujira” by Yaffle feat. Sahnya. Yaffle, who has worked with artists such as Fujii Kaze, Motoki Ohmori, Kenshi Yonezu, and SEKAI NO OWARI, is a central figure in today’s Japanese music scene.
