Resident Evil Requiem Announced for Nintendo Switch 2, Launching February 27, 2026

The highly popular Resident Evil series will see its latest installment, Resident Evil Requiem, released for the Nintendo Switch 2 on February 27, 2026. The ninth mainline entry in the franchise, the game will also be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam.

Described as the ninth numbered title in the saga, Resident Evil Requiem delivers a gripping blend of suffocating tension, bone-chilling fear, and exhilarating combat against death itself. The "Requiem" experience is designed to stir players' spirits by combining cutting-edge technology and the creators' expertise to breathe emotion into the characters and heighten immersion in the story and gameplay.

The story is set in Raccoon City, a Midwestern U.S. city that was once home to the global pharmaceutical giant Umbrella Corporation. For many years, however, these events were hidden from the public eye.
