The Ogre's Bride TV Anime to Air in 2026 with Teaser PV Featuring Saori Hayami as Yuzu and Yuichiro Umehara as Kiryuin Reiya

The anime The Ogre's Bride will air in 2026, along with the release of its teaser PV and main cast announcement. Saori Hayami will play Yuzu Shinonome, a normal-looking girl who is ignored by her family. Meanwhile, Yuichiro Umehara will play Reiya Kiryuin, the leader of the Oni clan and one of the top ayakashi.

The teaser PV shows Yuzu's daily life and her encounter with Reiya, who chooses her as his bride. It also features character voices performed by the anime cast. They also showed a new picture by Colored Pencil Animation Japan. The picture showed a sad Yuzu and Reiya embracing her from behind, as if to claim her completely.

The story takes place in a world where humans and ayakashi live together. Yuzu is a high school girl who meets Reiya Kiryuin, the powerful heir of the Oni clan. She is marked as his bride, and her destiny takes a dramatic turn in this Japanese-style ayakashi Cinderella story.
