MF GHOST Season 3 Premieres January 2026 with New Teaser Visual Unveiled

The TV anime MF GHOST will begin its 3rd Season in January 2026. The announcement was made during the special event Initial D 30th Anniversary 2days, held on September 13 at Fuji Speedway in Shizuoka. The new teaser image was also revealed at the event.

Based on the popular car racing manga that was serialized in Weekly Young Magazine (Kodansha) from 2017 to February 2025, the series has sold over 7 million copies. MF GHOST is the new version of Initial D, which was published in the same magazine from 1995 to 2013. Initial D is famous for its depiction of "the fastest street racing legend." The anime is set in a near-future world where intense battles take place on real public roads.

The cast includes Yuma Uchida, Ayane Sakura, and Hiroshi Kamiya. In Season 2, Kanata had a hard time in the third MFG race, "The Peninsula Manazuru." He had to compete with only three gears because he lost second gear. He was determined to win. He said, "This race won't end until I get my place back from every car that has passed me." Then he started a strong attack.
