Based on the manga Let’s Go Karaoke! by Yama Wayama, the series (despite its compact, single-volume format) has sold over 1.45 million copies in total. The story centers on the surreal exchanges between Satomi, a junior high school student and choir club president, and Kyoji, a young yakuza lieutenant who wants to improve his singing, while exploring the rich human drama surrounding them.
