"Kimi ni Todoke" is based on the manga of the same name, serialized in "Betsuma Margaret" from 2006 to 2017. The series has surpassed 36 million copies in circulation. The first season of the TV anime aired from 2009 to 2010, followed by the second season in 2011. In 2010, it was adapted into a live-action film starring Mikako Tabe and Haruma Miura, and in March 2023, a live-action drama featuring Sara Minami and Ouji Suzuka was released.
The third season, returning after 13 years, follows the main characters Sawako Kuronuma and Shota Kazehaya, who became a couple in the second season, on their first date and their school life as lovers. It will begin streaming on Netflix on August 1, 2024.
Introduction
"How do you date someone?" While puzzled by her growing feelings, Sawako confronts her emotions and expresses them to Kazehaya. Kazehaya, who has been drawn to Sawako's genuine and unpretentious personality, responds sincerely to her feelings. A new chapter in Sawako and Kazehaya's relationship begins here.

Sawako Kuronuma

A girl with long black hair and pale skin, nicknamed "Sadako" by her classmates due to a slight misunderstanding, causing them to fear her. She is drawn to Shota Kazehaya, who called her by her real name, "Sawako," instead of "Sadako," and eventually, their love blossoms.

Chizuru Yoshida

Chizuru is a vibrant and energetic person, known for her strong sense of duty and compassion. She is the type to act first and think later. Drawn to Sawako's straightforward personality, she quickly became friends with her and Ayane. Chizuru has long harbored feelings for Tohru, the older brother of her childhood friend Ryu Sanada. She finally confessed her feelings when Tohru got married, but unfortunately, it ended in heartbreak.
