"Girl Meets Rock!" follows the story of Chihiro Hatono, a first-year high school student who loves slightly old-fashioned Japanese rock music. She joins the light music club she admires and, through band activities, struggles and grows as a guitar vocalist and as a high school student. The manga comically depicts the everyday lives of high school students and the common experiences of a light music club while also addressing the unique concerns and impulses of teenagers. The dramatic scenes set to real music tracks have garnered significant attention.
