The final performance of the stage play "Spirited Away," held at the London Coliseum from April to August, will be exclusively live-streamed on Hulu starting at 3:30 AM (JST) on August 25th. The performance will feature Mone Kamishiraishi in the role of Chihiro.

Adapted and directed by John Caird, Honorary Associate Director of the Royal Shakespeare Company, the stage play "Spirited Away" is based on the animated film by director Hayao Miyazaki. This marks the first time the film has been adapted for the stage, following Caird's adaptations of other renowned works such as "Les Misérables" and "Knights' Tale."

The London performances, held at one of the largest theaters in the West End with approximately 2,300 seats, are the largest scale overseas performances by a Japanese cast in theatrical history. This venture, organized by Toho, has attracted significant attention as their first-ever production of this scale outside Japan. The live stream will allow viewers to experience the final performance's atmosphere and excitement from anywhere, with replays available during a specified period.

Additionally, the March 21, 2024 performance at the Imperial Theatre, featuring Kanna Hashimoto as Chihiro, will also be exclusively live-streamed on Hulu starting at 3:30 AM (JST) on August 25th. This will allow viewers to enjoy both the Japanese and London performances of "Spirited Away."

A documentary series titled "Flying to London with Spirited Away" will be exclusively available on Hulu from August 17th. This three-episode series, along with a special digest broadcast on Nippon TV's "&Hulu" program on August 17th, captures the behind-the-scenes efforts and challenges faced by the Japanese cast and production team as they prepared for the London performances.
