[Demon Slayer] 'Demon Slayer' Celebrates Himejima's Birthday with New Illustration: Fans Excited for His Role in Infinity Castle
Gyomei Himejima, the Stone Hashira from the popular anime Demon Slayer, celebrates his birthday today, August 23. In honor of this occasion, a special mini character illustration drawn by ufotable was released on the official X (formerly Twitter) account.
The post read, "August 23 is Gyomei Himejima's birthday! To celebrate, we have released a new mini character illustration drawn by ufotable," along with the illustration.
The illustration features Himejima with a cat, and fans online reacted with excitement, commenting, "Just having him around gives a sense of reassurance," "Love that the cat is included," "Looking forward to his role in the Infinity Castle," and "Happy birthday, Himejima-san!"
Demon Slayer first aired on TV with the "Tanjiro Kamado, Unwavering Resolve Arc" from April to September 2019. The story continued with Demon Slayer: Mugen Train, which was released in theaters in October 2020. The "Entertainment District Arc" followed on TV in December 2021, and the "Swordsmith Village Arc" aired in April 2023. The "Hashira Training Arc" is set to air between May and June 2024, with the Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle Arc confirmed for a trilogy of films.
