[Pokemon] Actor Hidetoshi Nishijima Shares Funny Pikachu Cake Photo, Recalls His Detective Pikachu Role
On September 12, popular Japanese actor Hidetoshi Nishijima (53) updated his Instagram with a surprising two-shot featuring Pikachu. Nishijima posted a photo of himself posing with a Pikachu ice cream cake, captioned, “Today’s sweets #Pikachu.” In the photo, Nishijima strikes a deadpan expression while sitting in front of the iconic Pokémon character.

Nishijima voiced Pikachu in the 2019 live-action film Detective Pikachu, and fans quickly responded with comments like, “This reminds me of your Pikachu role! Both the sweets and Nishijima-san are too cute,” “A dream collaboration between two Pikachus!” and “Nishijima’s Pikachu was absolutely adorable."
