[Monster Hunter x Digimon] Monster Hunter 20th Anniversary Collaboration with Digimon: Featuring RathalosGreymon & ZinogreGarurumon
On September 26, Bandai Namco Group's official online store, "Premium Bandai," began accepting pre-orders for the Digital Monster COLOR Monster Hunter 20th Edition in Rathalos Color and Zinogre Color (each priced at ¥7,700, excluding shipping and handling fees).
To commemorate the 20th anniversary of Monster Hunter, this anniversary item is a collaboration with Digital Monster COLOR. The two available color options are Rathalos Color and Zinogre Color, inspired by the Monster Hunter monsters Rathalos and Zinogre, respectively. Both versions feature the same internal program, regardless of color. Utilizing UV printer technology, the body is adorned with monster-themed designs, creating a dynamic appearance. Like previous releases in the Digital Monster COLOR series, this edition includes a color LCD screen, built-in rechargeable battery, and customizable background designs. The toy can be charged via the included USB Type-C cable, allowing for extended playtime.
The game includes a total of 36 monsters, with additional subspecies and titles making an appearance. To celebrate this anniversary, special collaboration monsters designed by Digimon character designer Kenji Watanabe have been included: RathalosGreymon (a fusion of Rathalos and Greymon) and ZinogreGarurumon (a fusion of Zinogre and Garurumon), both of which can be raised in the game.
As for user support features, the game includes a cold mode that pauses the growth of monsters when they are put into cold storage, preventing hunger or strength depletion, just like in past series. Additionally, players can back up one monster at a time using the backup system, allowing them to preserve their progress.
