The manga Vengeance from a Saint Full of Wounds will be adapted into a light anime in 2025.

Lua, a candidate for sainthood with the power of healing, carries a hidden flaw: her ability transfers the pain and suffering of others onto herself as she heals them. Although she is sometimes ridiculed as a "defective saint," she finds solace in the support of her close friend Arian.

However, Arian has a hidden "dark side" that drives Lua to despair. "I will never heal anyone again," Lua vows, until the second prince, Sven, suddenly appears before her and proposes, "Why don't we take revenge together?" Lua, who has been concealing another ability, joins forces with Sven to begin a new life, not as a "saint," but as a "villainess." Thus unfolds the story of her transformation.

The "light anime" format was developed by Dai Nippon Printing Co., Ltd. (DNP), a new process that significantly reduces the time and cost required for animation production compared to traditional methods. Since August 2022, it has been offered primarily to publishers with manga adaptations and companies holding character content. The goal is to provide anime more quickly, cost-effectively, and in a timely manner, catering to the growing demand for quicker and more diverse anime offerings.
