Konatsu Kato Stuns in Suit and Uniform for Rare Gravure Appearance with Wingman

To commemorate the 40th anniversary of the manga Wingman by Masakazu Katsura, which has been adapted into a live-action drama, actress Konatsu Kato (25), who plays the mysterious character Aoi, appears in the latest issue of Weekly Young Jump (Shueisha) No. 46, released on October 17. In this rare gravure feature, Kato dons both a sleek suit and a school uniform, alongside Wingman.

Wingman, Katsura’s debut series known for its blend of superhero elements influenced by 1980s tokusatsu, was serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump from 1983 to 1985. The series attracted fans of all genders and has since been adapted into anime and video games, remaining beloved by many.

Kato, a rising star, brings Aoi to life with a balance of charm and allure. This exclusive gravure shoot for Young Jump showcases her in various outfits, with Wingman making a special appearance in the feature.

Additionally, the issue’s cover and lead gravure star is freelance announcer Yumeno Shirato, with actor Hikaru Kabashima featured in the back gravure. The issue also highlights the upcoming anime and live-action film adaptation of Kowloon Generic Romance by Jun Mayuzuki, set for 2025.
