"Jujutsu Kaisen" Earns Guinness World Record for 'World's Most In-Demand TV Anime'
The official X account for the TV anime "Jujutsu Kaisen" has been updated with news that the series will be featured in the "Guinness World Records 2025."
The post on X announced, "It has been confirmed that 'Jujutsu Kaisen' will be listed as the 'World's Most In-Demand TV Anime' in the upcoming 2025 edition of the Guinness Book. Thank you all for your support of 'Jujutsu Kaisen'!"
"Jujutsu Kaisen" is based on the manga of the same name that began serialization in "Weekly Shonen Jump" in March 2018. It follows high school student Yuji Itadori as he steps into a dark fantasy world of battles centered around a powerful 'Cursed Object' whose seal has been broken.
The manga has surpassed 90 million copies in circulation. The TV anime aired from October 2020 to March 2021, gaining significant popularity, followed by an animated movie released in December 2021. The second season of the TV anime aired from July to December 2023, and a sequel, "Jujutsu Kaisen Shibuya Incident," has been announced.
