Demon Slayer Illustration Record Volume 3: Cover Featuring Tengen Uzui Revealed!
The cover art for “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Illustration Record Volume 3” has been unveiled, featuring a striking illustration of Tengen Uzui in an extravagant pose wielding his Nichirin Blades. The artwork was specially created for this book by Akira Matsushima, the character designer and chief animation director for the series.
A Beloved Series Continues to Shine
Based on the hit manga serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump from February 2016 to May 2020, Demon Slayer has achieved remarkable success, with over 150 million copies of its volumes in circulation. Set in a Taisho-era world where man-eating demons lurk, the story follows Tanjiro Kamado, a boy who joins the Demon Slayer Corps to turn his demonized sister, Nezuko, back into a human after their family is slaughtered by demons.
Anime and Film Success
The TV anime adaptation began with “Tanjiro Kamado: Unwavering Resolve Arc” in April 2019, leading directly into the record-breaking movie “Mugen Train Arc” released in October 2020. Subsequent arcs include:
Entertainment District Arc (December 2021)
Swordsmith Village Arc (April 2023)
Hashira Training Arc (May–June 2024)
Looking ahead, the “Infinity Castle Arc” is set to be adapted into a trilogy of theatrical films, further exciting fans.
