The 74th episode of the new series of the anime *Pokémon* (official abbreviation: AniPoke, airing every Friday at 6:55 p.m. on TV Tokyo) was broadcast on the 22nd. It was revealed that the protagonist, Liko, is a descendant of Lucius, an ancient adventurer and a trainer of one of the Six Heroes’ Pokémon.

In Episode 74, Liko’s grandmother Diana reveals Lucius’ secret—the connection between Lucius and the Explorers, as well as details about the three adventurers who created the Explorers. When Liko and her friends visit Terasu Pond, they meet Lystal, who is holding a baby revealed to be named “Layla.” Diana then comments, “Layla is my mother’s name.”

Lystal then says, “You are my and Lucius’ descendants,” revealing that Liko is indeed a descendant of Lucius. Liko, unable to hide her shock, exclaims, “W…wait…wait, wait!”

Fans reacted, saying, “It was obvious that Liko was a descendant of Lucius, but it’s exciting to finally know the family tree,” “So Liko and Lucius were indeed related by blood,” “Liko is Lucius’ descendant after all. Lucius’ genes are strong,” “Liko turned out to be a descendant of both Lucius and Layla!
