Universal Studios Japan (USJ) in Osaka has unveiled exciting new details about its latest expansion to Super Nintendo World: the Donkey Kong Country area, set to officially open on December 11.

Exclusive previews began today for Universal Prime Annual Pass Grand Royal holders, offering them a first look at the highly anticipated zone. Visitors enter through a tunnel-themed entrance to step into the lush, jungle-inspired world of Donkey Kong.
Thrilling New Ride: Donkey Kong's Crazy Minecart
The standout attraction, Donkey Kong's Crazy Minecart, invites guests to embark on a daring journey through the jungle. The ride begins with a blast from a barrel cannon, taking riders on a high-speed adventure across broken tracks and heart-pounding jumps, immersing them in the iconic setting of the Donkey Kong games. Eye-catching images showcasing the ride experience have also been released, generating buzz among fans.
Immersive Attractions and Experiences
In addition to the main ride, the new area boasts an array of interactive attractions and features:
Donkey Kong Meet & Greet: A chance to snap photos and interact with the beloved ape himself.
Rambi’s Jungle Conga: A rhythmic drumming activity where visitors play congas to summon Rambi the rhinoceros.
Jungle Beat Shake: A snack stand serving desserts inspired by barrels from the game.
Funky Kong’s Fly and Buy: A gift shop run by Funky Kong, featuring themed merchandise.
Expanded Power-Up Band Collection
The Power-Up Band lineup, a staple of Super Nintendo World, now includes Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong designs, bringing the total number of collectible bands to eight. These bands enhance interactive experiences throughout the park.
