Robert Baldwin Passes Away at 59, Known for "Kyoryu Cyan" Role
Actor Robert Baldwin, best known for his role as Ramirez/Kyoryu Cyan in the 2013 Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger, passed away on December 26 at the age of 59. The announcement was made on January 4 by his daughter, actress Ariga Rei, via her social media account on X (formerly Twitter).
Ariga shared, "My father, Robert Baldwin, passed away peacefully on December 26 at the age of 59, following a two-year battle with colon cancer. As per the family's wishes, a private funeral was held on December 30." She also apologized for the delayed announcement, explaining that accessing her father's electronic accounts had been difficult.
Ariga expressed her gratitude to Baldwin’s fans and colleagues, describing him as a hardworking man with an extensive network of friends. She asked for assistance in spreading the news so it could reach everyone who knew and supported her father.
Robert Baldwin, a Canadian-Japanese talent, was widely recognized for his work in Japanese entertainment, including his role as Gold in Chosei Kantai Sazer-X (2005) and as Ramirez/Kyoryu Cyan in Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger (2013).
