Renowned manga creator Akasaka Aka, known for Kaguya-sama: Love Is War and Oshi no Ko, has launched a new serialization titled Märchen Crown. The manga, created in collaboration with Aoi Kujira and Ajichika (Record of Ragnarok), debuts in the 16th issue of Weekly Young Jump, released on March 19.

A Fantasy Tale of a Prince and Princess

Märchen Crown unfolds in a whimsical world, telling the love story of a prince and princess. The manga opens with a grand color introduction, featuring an extended 64-page release including both Chapter 0: "Happily Ever After" and Chapter 1: "The World of Dreams". The series will continue with weekly serialization in Weekly Young Jump.

To celebrate the debut, an official promotional video has also been released.

Story Overview

Set in a fairytale-like world, the story follows a girl who lives in a towering castle and a humble boy who stumbles into her life. Their fateful encounter sets off a mysterious adventure, leading them toward an unexpected destiny.

The Creative Team

Akasaka Aka – Creator of Kaguya-sama: Love Is War (28 volumes) and Oshi no Ko (16 volumes, as the original creator). He has recently transitioned to focus solely on manga writing.
Aoi Kujira – Author of Geek Circle Crisis: The Princess’s Love Path Is Full of Bugs (2 volumes), serialized on Tonari no Young Jump.
Ajichika – A four-member artist unit known for illustrating Record of Ragnarok, currently serialized in Monthly Comic Zenon.
Märchen Crown promises to deliver stunning visuals and a heartwarming fantasy romance, making it a must-read for fans of Akasaka’s past works.
