To celebrate the return, a special prequel one-shot titled Hell Teacher Nube: Hyaku Monogatari Kenbunroku (Record of the Hundred Ghost Stories) has been published on the official Saikyo Jump website. The one-shot, which first appeared in the August 2024 issue of the magazine, sets the stage for the new series by diving into a chilling tale where Nube and his students venture into the world of ghost stories to rescue Hiro, who has been abducted by a yokai.

The upcoming serialization will follow Nube as he travels through time and space to rescue his fifth-grade Class 3 students, including Hiro and Kyoko, who have been swallowed into a realm of ghost stories. Fans can expect more heroic action and supernatural battles as Nube once again risks everything to protect his students.
Originally serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump from 1993 to 1999, Hell Teacher Nube centers around Meisuke Nueno (a.k.a. Nube), a teacher with spiritual powers and a demon-possessed hand, who combats ghosts, spirits, and other supernatural threats that endanger his students. The series became a cult favorite for its mix of school horror, urban legends, and emotional storytelling, and has sold over 29 million copies in total.
The franchise continued with follow-up manga such as Hell Teacher Nube: NEO (2014–2019) and Hell Teacher Nube: S (2018–2021). It also received a popular anime adaptation that aired from 1996 to 1997, and a live-action drama in 2014 starring Ryuhei Maruyama of SUPER EIGHT.
