< Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba > Just 4 Days Until the Hashira Training Arc; Stoic Giyu Tomioka Visual Released
The new series "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba - Hashira Training Arc" will begin broadcasting on Fuji TV from May 12th. In celebration, an official countdown visual was released on platform X.
On X, the caption reads, "Just '4 days' until the broadcast of the TV anime 'Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba - Hashira Training Arc'," featuring a stoic visual of Giyu Tomioka. This arc, covering volumes 15 to 16 of the original manga, follows Tanjiro and his companions as they receive training from the highest-ranked swordsmen of the Demon Slayer Corps, the Hashira, to become stronger. "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba" is based on the manga of the same name, which was serialized in "Weekly Shonen Jump" from February 2016 to May 2020, and has surpassed 150 million copies in circulation. The story is set in the Taisho era, where man-eating demons lurk, and follows Tanjiro Kamado, a young boy who joins the Demon Slayer Corps to turn his demon-turned sister, Nezuko, back into a human and to avenge his family killed by demons.
The first season of the TV anime aired from April to September 2019, sparking a societal phenomenon. The film "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba the Movie: Mugen Train," which continues from the final episode of the anime, was released in October 2020, becoming a major hit with over 40 billion yen in domestic box office revenue. This was followed by the second season, "Entertainment District Arc," airing from December 2021, and the third season, "Swordsmith Village Arc," which began broadcasting in April 2023.
