On April 22, the official Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba X (formerly Twitter) account released a new birthday illustration of fan-favorite character Inosuke Hashibira. The image, drawn by animation studio ufotable, shows Inosuke enjoying a feast—without his iconic boar mask.

In the post, the official account wrote, “April 22 is Inosuke’s birthday! To celebrate, we’re sharing this new mini-character illustration from ufotable. Please enjoy!” The artwork features Inosuke surrounded by various Japanese dishes such as daifuku and tempura soba, as he munches away happily with his real face revealed.

Fans quickly flooded the comments with playful reactions:

“I thought he was eating a dinosaur egg… honestly, it wouldn’t surprise me if he was.”

“Happy birthday, Inosuke!! So cute!! Love you!!”

“Eat lots of yummy food today!”

About Demon Slayer: A Record-Breaking Global Phenomenon

Based on the manga by Koyoharu Gotouge, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba originally ran in Weekly Shonen Jump from February 2016 to May 2020, selling over 150 million copies. The story follows Tanjiro Kamado, a boy who joins the Demon Slayer Corps to turn his demon-turned sister Nezuko back into a human after their family is slaughtered by demons.
