The highly anticipated Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Infinity Castle Arc, the first chapter of the new theatrical trilogy, is set to hit theaters on July 18. As part of a countdown campaign on the official X (formerly Twitter), a new character visual featuring Iguro Obanai has been released.

Currently, the official X account is unveiling new solo visuals of key characters one by one. Fans were quick to respond to Iguro’s latest appearance with comments such as:

“I hope we get a full trailer soon—there’s not enough footage yet and I’m getting antsy lol,”
“Iguro-san looks as cool as ever,”
“Finally, Iguro-san! He looks incredible!”
“His sharp eyes looking straight at us—so intense and handsome! You can really feel his resolve… I love it,”

and “Can’t wait to see his scenes with Mitsuri-chan!”

About Demon Slayer: A Record-Breaking Global Phenomenon

Based on the manga by Koyoharu Gotouge, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba originally ran in Weekly Shonen Jump from February 2016 to May 2020, selling over 150 million copies. The story follows Tanjiro Kamado, a boy who joins the Demon Slayer Corps to turn his demon-turned sister Nezuko back into a human after their family is slaughtered by demons.

The anime adaptation began in April 2019 with Tanjiro Kamado: Unwavering Resolve Arc. This was followed by:

The Mugen Train Arc (film, 2020),

Entertainment District Arc (TV, 2021–2022),

Swordsmith Village Arc (2023), and

Hashira Training Arc (May–June 2024).

The upcoming Infinity Castle Arc movie trilogy will pick up directly after the final episode of the Hashira Training Arc, continuing the epic journey of Tanjiro and his comrades as they confront the ultimate enemy in a climactic showdown.
