The official X (formerly Twitter) account of the Jujutsu Kaisen anime issued a public warning after discovering that unauthorized photos and video footage from the film Jujutsu Kaisen: Hidden Inventory / Premature Death Compilation had been leaked and uploaded online.

Unauthorized Footage Reported Online

According to the announcement, images and video from the main feature and ending sequence of the film have been illegally recorded and posted online. The production team emphasized that:

“Recording films in theaters is a criminal offense under the Act on Prevention of Unauthorized Recording of Films.”
“Uploading such content to platforms like X (Twitter), YouTube, TikTok, or Facebook constitutes a violation of copyright law.”

Legal Consequences Outlined

The statement included a stern reminder of the penalties under Japanese law:
Up to 10 years in prison
Fines of up to 10 million yen

Or both, if found guilty under the Unauthorized Recording Prevention Act and Copyright Act

Fans were urged to help protect the theatrical experience for everyone by strictly avoiding unauthorized filming and uploads.

Part of a Larger Problem

The issue echoes a similar case involving Demon Slayer last month. During the revival screening of Mugen Train, the trailer for the upcoming Infinity Castle Arc was illegally recorded and spread online, prompting a separate official warning.

Jujutsu Kaisen: Hidden Inventory / Premature Death Compilation is a theatrical summary of the anime’s second season, which originally aired in July 2023 across five episodes. It focuses on the past of Satoru Gojo and Suguru Geto during their days as students at Jujutsu High.

The compilation film is currently screening in Japanese theaters.
