Episode 18 of You and Idol Pretty Cure (Kimi to Idol Prett Cure, キミとアイドルプリキュア♪), the 22nd installment in the Pretty Cure anime series, has released its story preview and early scene stills. Episode 18 will air on Sunday, June 8, at 8:30 AM on Japanese TV, followed by international streaming on various platforms.

Episode 18 Story

In Episode 18, two mysterious Pretty Cure members, Cure Zukyun and Cure Kiss, make a dramatic entrance to save the Idol Pretty Cure team from danger.

The episode begins with Uta Sakura (voiced by Misato Matsuoka) waking up from a dream about Cure Zukyun. When she heads to school, the entire town—including classrooms and the media—is abuzz about the new duo, Cure Zukyun and Cure Kiss.

Unable to focus on class, Uta finds herself distracted by thoughts of Cure Zukyun. Concerned about her, Nana Aokaze (voiced by Minami Takahashi) takes Uta to see Kokoro Shigure (voiced by Natsumi Takamori) during lunch break. Kokoro immediately realizes that Uta has become smitten with Cure Zukyun…

About You and Idol Pretty Cure

The theme of You and Idol Pretty Cure revolves around idols. With the belief that "Because you're here, I can shine and become stronger!", the Pretty Cure idols sing, dance, and engage with fans, using their performances to restore Kirakira to those who have lost it.

The story follows Uta Sakura, a second-year middle school student who loves to sing. One day, she meets Purirun, a fairy searching for the Idol Pretty Cure, the legendary savior of Kirakiland. Kirakiland has been plunged into darkness by Darkine, the leader of the Chokkiri Gang.

As the Chokkiri Gang begins stealing the Kirakira from townspeople, a desperate Uta declares, "I want to bring back the Kirakkiranran feeling! With my song!" Her determination resonates, and she transforms into the legendary Cure Idol.
