Toei Animation announced on July 31 that it will release its first virtual call smartphone app for the Pretty Cure franchise, titled Hello! Pretty Cure Call, this fall. Co-developed with MediaActive, the app will feature characters from the currently airing series You and Idol Pretty Cure♪. Preregistration has already begun, with full service scheduled to launch later this year.

What Is Hello! Pretty Cure Call?

Hello! Pretty Cure Call is a smartphone app that allows children to enjoy simulated phone calls from their favorite Pretty Cure characters. The concept is "Always with Pretty Cure—from morning to night, and whenever you need support!" Through these virtual calls, users can receive praise, encouragement, and kind messages tailored to their daily lives.

Users can choose from various situations such as “Encourage me” or “Praise me,” and receive a call that matches their selected scene. The call simulates a real phone experience, letting users interact with Pretty Cure characters in a comforting and engaging way. Whether it’s getting ready in the morning, mealtime, or bedtime, the app aims to support children's emotional growth by providing positive reinforcement at key moments in their daily routine.

Features and Exclusive Content Based on You and Idol Pretty Cure♪

All call messages are newly recorded for the app, featuring original lines based on the world of You and Idol Pretty Cure♪. The content is crafted to preserve the emotional tone fans have come to expect from the Pretty Cure series, while making children feel as if the characters are speaking directly to them.

The app also includes features such as a “Morning Call,” where characters wake the user up, and the Glitter Café Mini-Game, where users can role-play as customers placing orders in a café setting from the anime. These features are designed to extend the experience beyond calls and offer more interactive ways to engage with the series’ world.

Even without a subscription, users can access specific content such as the “Promise Fulfilled” call. For example, after keeping a promise a certain number of times, parents and children can use the app together as a reward and consider subscribing.
