Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans Announces New 10th Anniversary Short Film to Be Screened Alongside Urdr-Hunt

Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans, the TV anime that began airing in October 2015, marks its 10th anniversary with a brand-new short film titled Makuai no Kusabi (JP: 幕間の楔). Originally broadcast from 2015 to 2017 in two seasons, Iron-Blooded Orphans follows a group of young boys working for a private security company as they rise up against the adults who oppressed them and challenge the ruling powers of Earth who treat Mars as a colony.

The main visual features the new protagonist Wistario Afam, a boy from Venus; Cornal Cosa, the guide through the world of Urdr-Hunt; and Cature Inosee, a girl encountered by Wistario and his comrades. Behind them stands the Gundam Hajiroboshi, piloted by Wistario, along with the symbolic Urdr-Hunt ring that plays a key role in their journey.

Moreover, the newly released teaser includes fresh cuts of Mikazuki Augus and Gundam Barbatos from the short film The Interlude's Wedge, making their debut after years away from the screen.

To celebrate the release of the 10th anniversary teaser PV, voice actors Rina Ikoma (Wistario Afam in Urdr-Hunt) and Kengo Kawanishi (Mikazuki Augus in The Interlude's Wedge) have shared special comments.

Rina Ikoma (as Wistario Afam)
Congratulations on the 10th anniversary of Iron-Blooded Orphans!
I’m incredibly grateful to have been a part of this world through Wistario.
Although I felt overwhelmed by the grand scope of the story, Wistario’s growth inspired me to push forward, and I was able to give it my all.
I truly hope everyone enjoys Urdr-Hunt as well.

Kengo Kawanishi (as Mikazuki Augus)
It’s hard to believe it’s already been 10 years since Iron-Blooded Orphans first aired.
The members of Tekkadan return to the screen through the story of The Interlude's Wedge.
When I first heard about this project, I was filled with disbelief and joy.
It brings me immense happiness to reunite with everyone as Tekkadan once more.
While the new story begins with The Interlude’s Wedge, I’ve also heard that more exciting things are in store for the 10th anniversary.
Just like all of you, I’m looking forward to what comes next.
Let’s celebrate this milestone together and enjoy the world of Iron-Blooded Orphans to the fullest!
