“Let’s Go Karaoke!” Anime Original Episode Announced – Depicts Events After the Karaoke Contest

It has been announced that Episode 5 of the TV anime Let’s Go Karaoke! will feature an anime-original episode, depicting events that take place after the karaoke contest.

Based on the manga Let’s Go Karaoke! by Yama Wayama, the series—despite its compact, single-volume format—has sold over 1.45 million copies in total. The story centers on the surreal exchanges between Satomi, a junior high school student and choir club president, and Kyoji, a young yakuza lieutenant who wants to improve his singing, while exploring the rich human drama surrounding them.

Starting next week on the 21st, the TV anime Captivated, by You, also based on a work by Wayama, will begin its five-episode run. Let’s Go Karaoke! will resume airing with Episode 5 on September 25.
