The Call of the Night Season 2 Halloween Night Arc

The Call of the Night Season 2 anime will enter its new “Halloween Night Arc” starting from Episode 9

The first eight episodes explored the past between Nazuna and Anko Uguisu. With Episode 9 and the start of the Halloween Night Arc, the conflict between vampires and detectives escalates toward its climax, centering on the two women.

The newly released key visual depicts Nazuna smirking confidently at Ko Yamori, who is dressed as a vampire. Behind them, Anko Uguisu is shown pointing a gun at them, her face ominously lit by a lighter’s flame. In the background are Seri Kikyo and her underlings, along with Akihito Akiyama, leaving fans curious about how these two will become involved in the story.

The PV also teases a tense Halloween atmosphere. As suspenseful music plays, Nazuna and Anko reunite, accompanied by Ko's voice narrating, "The day the detective’s family was destroyed," the ominous date “October 31,” and Anko’s line, “I've come to end the night.”

Set to Creepy Nuts’ ending theme “Nemure,” the PV features high-stakes battle scenes between Nazuna and Anko, Ko running through the Halloween-decorated city, and the solemn faces of various vampires. The trailer ends with a teary-eyed Nazuna, raising anticipation for what’s to come.

Additionally, Gen Sato and Sora Amamiya will host a special livestream on the Fuji TV Anime Official YouTube Channel on August 23 at 10:30 p.m. JST. They will reflect on Call of the Night so far and discuss what's next in the Halloween Night Arc.
