Solo Camping for Two Episode 8 Story & Scene Cuts Released: A Long-Awaited Duo Camp

The story and advance scene cuts for Episode 8 of the anime Solo Camping for Two (JP: ふたりソロキャンプ, Futari Soro Kyanpu) have been revealed. The episode will air on Friday, August 29, at 12:30 AM (JST), followed by streaming on platforms worldwide.

Episode 8 Story

It’s been a while since their last duo solo camp. Shizuku arrives at the site with her newly purchased backpack, but Gen immediately scolds her with a sharp, “That won’t do at all!” From there, her mentor Gen begins a lecture—teaching her the proper way to tighten shoulder straps, adjust lift straps, and pack gear efficiently. While enjoying this camping trip with Gen, Shizuku shows off her culinary skills at night by preparing a deliciously spicy Chinese-style meal.

Later, while on a solo camping trip, Gen sat with sake and snacks he had prepared with care, recalling “that day” when he first began his journey into solo camping.

■Synopsis
Gen Kinokura, age 34.
A solitary camper who cherishes being alone, Gen was enjoying his usual solo camping trip.
However, by chance, he encounters Shizuku Kusano, a complete beginner to camping.
Though reluctant, Gen ends up doing a “solo camping together” session with Shizuku!?
What will become of Gen’s peaceful camping life...

Gen Kinokura (CV: Daiki Hamano)
The protagonist of the story. Age 34. A genuine solo camper who enjoys solitude.
While luxuriating in his alone time in nature, he unexpectedly encounters Shizuku, a type of woman he’s not comfortable with.

Shizuku Kusano (CV: Mizuki Niizaki)
The heroine of the story. Age 20. A beginner at camping.
After meeting Gen during her first camping trip, she asks to become his apprentice and proposes a "two-person solo camp."

Gen's friend since high school.
Though they have a bit of a love-hate relationship, their mutual love for camping keeps them connected.
