-- The distinct "red" of this work seems to be slightly different from the original color. What were your points of focus when considering the color?

Mr. puras: I wanted to create a red that would leave a vivid impression while keeping its depth. By painting rose pink over a black base and scattering white decals, I feel that it resulted in a satisfactory look. Initially, I painted the inner frame in gunmetal, but the exposed weakness was too prominent, and it felt odd.

It took me quite some time to finally settle on dark brown. Ever since our last interview for Gundam Barbatos, I've become more conscious about the colors I use for painting.
I use an app to test the overall color scheme in advance, and only start the painting process once I'm happy with the colors and their distribution.

-- Many people have praised the color of this work. How did you feel when you saw the feedback?

Mr. puras: To be honest, I was relieved. I always get nervous when I change the original color scheme and shape of the MS. I'm worried about how others will perceive my choices, so I was genuinely relieved to see the comments praising the color. I felt that my approach to enhancing the original design with my own interpretation was well received.

-- From your SNS posts, it appears that you also focused on the pose of this model. Could you tell us more about this?

Mr. puras: Poses can significantly affect the overall impression of a model. Even with a fixed model, changing the angle or pose can convey a different atmosphere or story. For the Strike Rouge, I wanted to express its sleekness and agility, hence the dynamic pose with the large sword. I used a sturdy metal wire to support the model and ensure that the pose was stable.

-- Finally, could you give some advice to people who might want to start their own Gunpla projects?

Mr. puras: First and foremost, don't be afraid to make mistakes. Experimenting and learning from your mistakes is the most important thing. Also, don't compare your work to others. It's your project and your creativity that matters the most. It doesn't matter if your model doesn't look exactly like the ones you see online or in magazines. What's important is that you enjoy the process and are happy with the end result.

The captivating work of Mr. puras, a modeler who knows how to make the most of colors and poses to breathe life into his models, has once again proven that Gunpla can be more than just a hobby. It's a way to express one's creativity and love for the world of Gundam. We can't wait to see what he'll create next.
