“The Invisible Man and His Soon-to-Be Wife” Premieres January 2026: PV Reveals Riho Sugiyama and Masaya Fukunishi, Theme Songs by Mao Abe and Kaori Ishihara

The anime The Invisible Man and His Soon-to-Be Wife (JP: 透明男と人間女～そのうち夫婦になるふたり～) is set to air in January 2026. The first promotional video has been released, announcing additional cast members Riho Sugiyama and Masayaya Fukunishi, with the opening theme performed by singer-songwriter Mao Abe and the ending theme by voice actress Kaori Ishihara.

The PV showcases the sweet and slightly ticklish romance between Akira Tounome and Shizuka Yakou, while also introducing Luna Jarashi and Daichi Kikira with newly unveiled voice samples. Riho Sugiyama voices Luna Jarashi, a strong-willed beastwoman investigator at the “Tounome Detective Agency,” while Masaya Fukunishi portrays Daichi Kikira, a brusque yet considerate human man.

The opening theme is “Ding-dong” by Mao Abe, and the ending theme is “Hoshimegane” by Kaori Ishihara. Both songs are partially previewed in the PV.

I had already read the original work, so I was thrilled to be chosen to voice Luna. She is a cool, straightforward woman with a strong core, but as you get to know her, you see her charming flaws and girlish admiration. I found many parts of her overlapping with myself, so I poured my heart into the role. I hope the anime expands on this unique world even more, and I would love for everyone to enjoy it together.

■Masaya Fukunishi (Daichi Kikira)
In this world, everyone lives freely, cherishes one another, and embraces themselves as they are. Daichi is a little clumsy but full of love, and those around him treat him with love as well.
