To mark the U.S. release on Sept 12 of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Movie: Infinity Castle – Part 1: Akaza Returns, ufotable’s overseas WEBSHOP revealed a wall sticker showing Giyu Tomioka’s forehead fully exposed.

The wall sticker, sold as a theater-exclusive good, lets fans glimpse a rarely seen side of Tomioka. It shows him peeking in from above, prompting online reactions like “Giyu’s precious forehead!” and “I wasn’t buying on day one, but I saw it on the goods site and burst out laughing.”

From Page to Phenomenon

Originally serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump from February 2016 to May 2020, Demon Slayer follows Tanjiro Kamado, a boy whose family was slaughtered by demons, as he joins the Demon Slayer Corps to find a way to turn his demonized sister Nezuko back into a human and to avenge his family. The manga has surpassed 220 million copies in circulation worldwide.

The TV anime Tanjiro Kamado, Unwavering Resolve Arc aired from April to September 2019 and became a sensation, followed by the 2020 film Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Movie: Mugen Train, which grossed approximately 51.7 billion yen (over $507 million) globally, becoming a social phenomenon.

The franchise later expanded into games and stage plays, followed by the TV adaptations Entertainment District Arc in December 2021, Swordsmith Village Arc in April 2023, and Hashira Training Arc from May to June 2024. Now, the Infinity Castle Arc is being adapted into a trilogy of films, with Part 1 showcasing the Demon Slayer Corps’ ultimate battle against Muzan Kibutsuji and the Upper Rank demons within the labyrinthine Infinity Castle.
