Kento Yamazaki & Tao Tsuchiya Confident in New Alice in Borderland: "A Precious and Beloved Work"

The third installment of the globally successful survival drama will stream exclusively on Netflix from the 25th. Arisu (Yamazaki) and Usagi (Tsuchiya), who once lost their sense of purpose, challenge life-threatening “games” alongside their friends in hopes of returning to the real world. Their intelligence, physical strength, and teamwork are tested as they face powerful enemies known as “citizens.” Season 3 unfolds four years after the Season 2 finale, presenting a completely original storyline built on the established world, where the mysterious “JOKER card” marks the beginning of an unknown journey.

A fan event filled with emotion and spectacle

The venue, decorated with lasers and card motifs reminiscent of the show’s world, featured performances directed by AI voice commands. Yamazaki reflected, “I never thought it would continue this far, so I feel happy and honored.” Tsuchiya added with a bright smile, “I’m truly overwhelmed with emotion. I’m excited to deliver it to everyone, though I also feel a little sad.”

Looking back on the journey since Season 1

Tsuchiya recalled the 2020 filming of Season 1: “The Shibuya scramble crossing was truly empty then. This series has walked with us since that time. It’s both a conclusion and a new beginning. We poured love, skill, and prayers into this work—please receive it.” Yamazaki also shared, “I’m so glad we could continue this far. I thought it ended with Season 2, but since this is a precious and beloved series, we worked with new and returning cast members to create Season 3 that surpasses the first two.
