Originally published online as a newly written side story commemorating the 10th anniversary of That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime, How to Spend a Certain Vacation (tentative title, JP: とある休日の過ごし方) is finally being released in book form, complete with revisions and special features.

The manga adaptation of That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime Side Story: How to Spend a Certain Vacation, illustrated by legendary 3×3 EYES creator Yuzo Takada and serialized in Monthly Shonen Sirius from September 2023 to July 2025, has now concluded. The novel version, published under GC Novels, will include a special dialogue between Takada and Fuse as well as a brand-new story set after the main series finale. It will be released on the same day as Volume 23.

■introduction
The very first side story of TenSura finally comes to print!

Rimuru × Hinata × Veldora travel to the “Sanctuary of Magic”

After the successful conclusion of the Opening Festival, peace once again returns to the Jura Tempest Federation.

It is during this calm period that Veldora suddenly announces his desire to develop “Beast Magic.” This system of magic, first introduced in the classic manga 3×3 EYES as the creation of the great sorcerer Benares, represents the ultimate magical romance for men.

Though Rimuru is doubtful about its feasibility in this world, the support of Luminous convinces him to journey to the “Magic Tower” to attempt the development of new spells.

Thus begins a magical research trip (an “extended vacation” of sorts) undertaken by Rimuru, Veldora, and Hinata.

The novel will also feature a special dialogue between Yuzo Takada, who illustrated the manga version, and original author Fuse, along with an exclusive short story written after the series conclusion.
