The story and preview images for Episode 1 of the TV anime Plus-Sized Misadventures in Love! (JP: デブとラブと過ちと！) have been revealed. This episode will air on Monday, October 6 at 11:00 PM (JST), and will later be available on various international streaming platforms.

Episode 1 Story

Yumeko Koda awakens in a hospital with no memory of her past.

While the old Yumeko was weighed down by insecurities about her appearance, the new Yumeko looks in the mirror and shouts with confidence, “This is… me…!? I’m super cute!” Her life as an extremely positive woman begins.

On her way to work after leaving the hospital, Yumeko meets Keisuke Yuki, a man who is out of breath and sitting on a park bench. At her office, her boss Hiroki Maezono and colleagues including Saki Tamai are stunned by her sudden transformation.

But just as everyone is adjusting to the “new” Yumeko, an unsettling call from the police station reaches her…

Introduction

Yumeko, an employee at a confectionery company, loses her memory after an accident.

Once burdened by complexes and filled with self-loathing, she wakes up with a complete personality shift, now ultra-positive, brimming with confidence, and overflowing with self-affirmation.

Those around her are bewildered by this new, opposite version of Yumeko, but her straightforward optimism gradually begins to influence and change them as well.
