"SPY×FAMILY" Season 3 Announced! Visuals Revealed for the Upcoming TV Series Continuation

The television anime "SPY×FAMILY" has officially announced the production of its Season 3. Alongside this announcement, a teaser visual has been released, indicating that the story will continue from where the TV anime series left off.

This announcement was made today, on the 9th, at the large-scale event "SPY×FAMILY Special Event ANIME EXTRA MISSION" held in Tokyo. The news was met with great excitement from the audience.

The newly unveiled visual features Anya and Bond asleep from exhaustion, being watched over by Loid and Yor from outside the room. The room is decorated with items hinting at the storyline for Season 3.

Character design for the visual was done by Kazuaki Shimada, while the design work was handled by art director Yuni Yoshida, known for her key visuals for the drama "Elpis" and advertisements for the cosmetic brand Ettusais.

"SPY×FAMILY" is a story featuring the distinguished spy Loid, who works on espionage missions daily to create a better world. One day, he receives a special mission.The mission is to "start a family and infiltrate a prestigious elementary school. For the mission, he takes in a child, Anya, at an orphanage, but she has supernatural powers. Also, his wife, Yor, who offered him a contract marriage, was an assassin. Loid creates a "makeshift family" for his mission. Yor and Anya also try teir best to play the role of a family for the sake of their own interests, and each takes on their own missions in this spy action-comedy.

The original manga has been serialized on the manga app "Shonen Jump+" since March 2019 and has surpassed 35 million copies in circulation. The first cour of the TV anime aired from April to June 2022, with the second cour airing from October to December 2022. Season 2 aired from October to December 2023, and a movie released in December 2023 became a huge hit, grossing 6.26 billion yen.
