Oshi no Ko Season 3 Reveals Non-Credit OP and ED Theme Videos & New Scene Cuts Featuring a Dark, Frenzied Nighttime Atmosphere

The non-credit opening and ending theme videos for Season 3 of the TV anime Oshi no Ko (JP: 【推しの子】), which premiered on the 14th, have been released. Alongside the theme videos, a new set of scene cuts has also been unveiled.

The opening theme video features “TEST ME” performed by CHANMINA, while the ending theme video showcases “Serenade” by Natori. In the opening sequence, Ruby, Kana, Akane, and MEM-cho are depicted dancing sensually against the backdrop of a nighttime cityscape, set to CHANMINA’s powerful vocals. The visuals create a dark, frenzied atmosphere that strongly evokes the hidden shadows of the entertainment industry.

The ending sequence, set to Natori’s “Serenade,” focuses on a dance scene shared by Aqua and Ruby. The imagery subtly hints at the uncertain paths that lie ahead for the two siblings.

Oshi no Ko is a story that portrays both the light and darkness of the entertainment world. The protagonist, Gorou, is an obstetrician who encounters his favorite idol, Ai Hoshino. Following a tragic incident that leads to his death, Gorou is reincarnated as Ai’s son, Aqua. This extraordinary turn of events draws him into the same entertainment industry as Ai, setting the story in motion.

The series is based on the manga serialized in Weekly Young Jump from April 2020 to November 2024. With over 25 million copies of the manga sold worldwide, it has become a major hit. The series won the Grand Prize in the Comics Category at the Next Manga Awards 2021. When Season 1 aired from April to June 2023, it gained massive attention, particularly due to its opening theme “Idol” by YOASOBI. Season 2 followed from July to October 2024, and the franchise has since expanded into live-action drama and film adaptations.
