Doraemon’s Latest Movie Reveals Undersea Nation Mu Federation and Castle of the Undersea Devil, Featuring Giant Squid and Poseidon

The latest installment in the long running Doraemon movie series is the 45th entry, Doraemon: Nobita and the New Castle of the Undersea Devil, set for release on February 27. Originally released in 1983, Doraemon: Nobita and the Castle of the Undersea Devil is reborn more than 40 years later as a newly animated film. From this upcoming movie, a new batch of scene cuts has been unveiled, offering a first look at the grand adventure set in the depths of the sea.

A Summer Camp Beneath the Sea

In the film, Nobita and his friends find themselves divided over where to go for their summer vacation camping trip. At Doraemon’s suggestion, they decide to camp in the middle of the ocean. The newly released images show the group traveling across the seafloor aboard the secret gadget Underwater Buggy, relaxing together inside another gadget called the Tent Apartment, and facing a thrilling moment as a massive giant squid closes in on them. These scenes capture the fun and excitement of their undersea camping adventure.

Their journey takes a dramatic turn when they discover a sunken ship, leading to their encounter with El, an undersea human who lives in the Mu Federation, a civilization spread across the ocean floor. Additional visuals reveal towering undersea mountains and sweeping views of the Mu Federation, giving a clearer sense of the vast scale and beauty of the film’s underwater world.

The Threat of the Castle of the Undersea Devil
