Star Detective Precure Episode 3 Story & Preview Cuts Released: New Character Luluka Moria Appears and Finishes Off an Ice Cream

The story and preview images for Episode 3 of the new TV anime Star Detective Precure! (JP: 名探偵プリキュア！), the 23rd installment in the long-running Precure franchise, have been revealed. The series is set to begin airing on February 15.

Episode 3 Story

Anna Akechi begins cleaning the CUREtto Detective Agency, where she has decided to live. Mikuru Kobayashi, who has completed the process of moving out of her dormitory, joins her, and the four of them, Anna, Mikuru, Pochitan, and Jett-senpai, start their new life together.

As they continue cleaning and organizing, Anna and Mikuru head up to the second floor of the detective agency, where they discover a single map. It appears to be a map of the surrounding area, but several marks and notes have been written on it.

After settling down from their work, Anna and the others head out into town to purchase furniture and miscellaneous goods for their new home. They stop by an antique shop called Camellia Interior and are impressed by its stylish selection. Suddenly, Pochitan senses the presence of an incident. When they speak with a staff member who raised their voice, they learn that the shop’s symbol, a glass turtle figurine, has mysteriously disappeared.

Revealing that they are detectives, Anna and Mikuru offer their help and immediately begin questioning those involved.

Introduction

Star Detective Precure introduces the first detective themed Precure storyline in the franchise and is set primarily in 1999. The protagonist Anna Akechi is a 14 year old second year middle school student living in Makoto Mirai Town. On her birthday, she encounters a fairy named Pochitan and is guided by a mysterious pendant found in her room, triggering a time slip from the year 2027 back to Makoto Mirai City in 1999.

There, Anna meets another 14 year old girl, Mikuru Kobayashi, who dreams of becoming a great detective. When a series of incidents begin to occur, the two girls find themselves unable to ignore people suffering from stolen treasured possessions. Together, they transform into the Star Detective Precure, solving mysteries with the catchphrase “That mystery will be cured” while protecting smiles through sharp deduction and searching for clues that may allow Anna to return to her original time.
