From Overshadowed to Overpowered Anime Confirmed for July Premiere with Star Studded Cast and EMT Squared Production

From Overshadowed to Overpowered (JP: 落第賢者の学院無双～二度目の転生、Sランクチート魔術師冒険録～, Rakudai Yusha no Gakuen Musou) has officially been confirmed for a television anime adaptation, with broadcasting set to begin in July. The production team and main cast have also been revealed.

The original manga, titled From Overshadowed to Overpowered: Second Reincarnation of a Talentless Sage, follows the story of Ephtal, a great sage who was reincarnated from the modern world and devoted his life to the study of magic. After confronting the limits of his talent and falling into despair, he ultimately loses his life.

Four hundred years later, Ephtal is reincarnated once more, carrying with him the knowledge and magical abilities of his previous life. However, the world awaiting him is one where magical civilization has significantly declined. Alongside the slave girl Anastasia and Merlin, the headmaster of a prestigious academy who was once his disciple, Ephtal begins to dominate the magic academy.

This academy fantasy tells the story of a sage reborn from despair who overturns common sense with his extraordinary power.
