In this episode, Frieren and Fern have an unexpected reunion with Genau and Methode, who previously appeared in the First-Class Mage Exam Arc in Season 1. The newly released preview cuts strikingly capture Genau’s quiet gaze as he faces the devastation of his homeland. They also depict the shadow of a demon inferred from the victims’ characteristic wounds.
As a new formidable enemy stirs the promise of further turmoil, can the party fulfill their mission to subjugate the demon?
The Divine Revolte Arc is adapted from Volume 8 of the original manga. Divine Revolte is a demon general who wields four swords simultaneously, created through his own magic. He is voiced by Shinichiro Miki.
