That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime Season 4 has unveiled its first key visual and first promotional video ahead of its April 3 premiere in Japan on Nippon TV. The opening theme will be “Esoragoto” by Eir Aoi, while the ending theme has been set as “Katsubou” by CiON.

Season 4 Begins with Consecutive Two Cour Run

Season 4 will unfold across five split cours, with the first consecutive two cours beginning in April. The newly revealed first key visual features Rimuru, Maribel, and Yuuki. The visual hints at the grand ambitions of the various factions depicted throughout Season 3, as well as a direct confrontation rooted in long standing tensions dating back to the early stages of the series.

The new season will portray Rimuru as he takes fresh steps toward realizing a sphere of coexistence between humans and monsters.

That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime follows Satoru Mikami, an ordinary office worker who is fatally stabbed in a random attack and reincarnated in another world as a slime named Rimuru. Armed with unique skills, Rimuru sets out to build a nation where all races can live together happily, gathering allies through wisdom and courage.

The original work began serialization on the web novel site Shosetsuka ni Naro and later expanded into a manga adaptation. The series has surpassed 56 million copies in cumulative circulation. The anime adaptation premiered in October 2018, followed by Season 2 airing from January to March and July to September 2021, and Season 3 from April to September 2024. A theatrical anime film was released in 2022, and a new theatrical film is currently in theaters.

I am Eir Aoi, and I will be performing the opening theme for Season 4. When I learned that I would be singing the opening theme for That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime, a series that continues to be loved all over the world, I was truly surprised and above all incredibly excited.

Esoragoto is an intense rock number that resonates with the grand scale of the story. I hope you will enjoy it together with the anime. We are CiON, and we will be performing the ending theme for Season 4. Katsubou is a powerful song with a rich sound that embraces the ending of each episode, layered with feelings that grow stronger the more they burn within.

We were inspired by Rimuru’s strength and kindness as he gains allies throughout the story, and that inspiration led us to create this song. We hope to connect even a little with the feelings of everyone who loves this series and contribute to it in some way. We will do our best to support Season 4 through our music.
